USB Power
As I'm using USB power for this project I thought it might be better to know my enemy. Powering the computer by un/plugging the cable every time seemed a little tedious. So I thought it would be best to open up a USB cable and see how it ticked. A USB cable (for those interested) has four cables. Black and red are for ground and power (5V @ 2.4A in my case). The green and white cable transfer data. As I'm only using the power from the cable I can ignore the white and green.

Using the power from my battery unit to power an LED. This will be used to turn on the computer, the switch will also glow when turned on.
