Audio Card
The audio card arrived and has taken me three days for to talk to my RPi. Some dedication! Turns out the card is advertised to be compatible with the RPi 2, but is not really the case. Some of the GPIO pins from the versions A/B/2 have changed so the card is sending data to the pins where it isn't expected. Took HOURS to compile the kernel and get everything downloaded and installed. But finally works like a dream!
Tested the input and output out with my first guitar the 'Proto', and works as expected. Signal to Noise ratio is low, and the signal is nice and clear. Perfect.
However, the audio card uses the same GPIO pins as the touchscreen. I will need to find another touchscreen that uses different GPIO pins, or uses the HDMI and USB slot.
This audio card is the Cirrus Logic Audio Card, and boasts 192kHz sample rate and 24 bit audio, which is more than what I require! However this is one of the few audio cards that accepts an analog audio signal for the RPi.
Forgive my Sonic PJs.
